Seminal Michael Nelson Jagamara work goes to auction at Sotheby's London Michael Nelson Jagamara's seminal work, Five Stories, an iconic poster image for Australian Aboriginal Art in the 1980s, is a highlight of next week's Sotheby's London auction, in their second London sale solely curated of Aboriginal Art. Accompanied by works of other revered Aboriginal artists such as Emily Kngwarreye and Tracey Moffat, the auction is one not to be missed. |
Downlands Art Show 2016 "Buy something you can live with and love" is the advice from Downlands Art Show curator Evan Hollis to potential investors. Mr Hollis said he was confident this year's show would be the best despite the changing face of art, particularly investment art. He said the show would also offer plenty of variety for younger enthusiasts. |

QATA conference ACTIVATE The Queensland Art Teachers Association has invited Michael Eather and Ian Waldron to speak at the 2016 ACTIVATE conference. The conference aims to inspire and enhance teaching practices through visual art education that support closing the gap in learning outcomes between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their non-Indigenous peers.
