Eather & Tjapaltjarri in 1999.
Walala Tjapaltjarri has been working with FireWorks Gallery since 1999. He is one of the Pintupi nine, the family who emerged from the Central Australian Desert in 1984. Tjapaltjarri and Michael Eather have been collaborating for their entire working relationship, experimenting with works on paper and canvas and most recently, bronze sculptures. Arrangements of Tingari, important ancestral figures, are prolifically reinterpreted in a merging of the respective artist's styles. The result if abstract and simplistic, bold and minimalist.
