FireWorks Gallery acknowledges with sadness the recent passing of Northern New South Wales artist and muralist Geoff Williams last month. You all might remember Geoff's quirky and often satirical still life, realist/surrealist paintings, often depicting Australian flora and fauna.

Congratulations Serena Bonson!

Congratulations to emerging Maningrida artist Serena Bonson, whose new works Wangarra Spirits have been shortlisted for the 2015 Woollahra Sculpture Prize in Sydney. Fabricated in aluminium, these new, limited editions have been developed and produced through FireWorks Gallery with the assistance of Maningrida Arts and Culture.

Ian Waldron visits Brisbane

Whilst in Brisbane last week, Ian Waldron visited 'The Royals' Equestrian Centre, RNA Showgrounds. Ian will be back in Brisbane in mid-September with a new series of black & white paintings inspired by his family connection to the Delta Downs Cattle Station in the Gulf region.

New Wangarra Spirit sculptures arrive at FireWorks Gallery


Recently arrived at FireWorks Gallery are eye-catching Wangarra Spirit sculptures by young emerging artist, Serena Bonson, from Maningrida, Northern Territory.  Her bold black and white aluminium sculptures were cast and remodelled from her original timber carvings, to create unique indoor or outdoor small-scale sculptures.

Michael Nelson Jagamara at Elgee Park Mornington Peninsula VIC


Following the success of Michael Nelson Jagamara’s Lightning Strikes installation at Montalto Sculpture Park, a private collector has commissioned a similar work to be installed at nearby Elgee Park, on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula. The work will sit amongst more than forty large-scale outdoor works by renowned sculptors.
