Established in 1859 the Queensland Club, located on George Street in Brisbane CBD, have acquired two paintings by Gungurri artist, Joanne Currie Nalingu - River Mountain Flow and Wind on the River. 

Joanne's depictions of the Maranoa river, near where she was born in Mitchell, are meditative interpretations. They are not necessarily geographically specific, with Joanne referring to the broader analogy in her work "...that river is really a symbol for all rivers, for all people." Congratulations, Joanne!
