Freddie depicts the site of traditional camping ground that, it is claimed, has been used for hundreds of years by his forebears.
Situated on the East Kimberley’s vast Bow River Cattle Station, it is comprised of a series of waterholes, the dry season remnants of Mule Creek, seen emerging from its birthplace in the hills. The oasis has been a comfortable stock camp for the last century of so, providing good shade from the many paper bark trees and known as a reliable goondaringy, bream fishing place.
