Gloria Petyarre's bush medicine leaves, the subject of this exhibition, showcases her original classic design. The bush medicine leaves are derived from the Kurrajong tree found in her Atnangkere country, Utopia region in the Northern Territory. Petyarre is recognised as a luminary of the Utopia art movement. Leaves features detailed and small scale works alongside larger broad brush paintings in a vibrant array of colours and compositions, painted between 2003 and 2011.
